Blog_intro

Welcome to my blog. This blog is about my journey to put this 2 owner 64 Dodge Polara back on the road with some pro-touring flare. I bought it from the grand son of the original owner. The car was never taken apart until I tore into it.

I guess you would classify the build as a pro-touring build at this point. The drivetrain will be completely new. The car is on about its 3rd revision at this point. The final iteration of the drivetrain is an all aluminum Gen3 426 built by Modern Muscle in Martinsville Virginia. On top of that will sit a 2.9L whipple supercharger. The rest of the drivetrain is rounded out by a 4L80 trans and converter built by Phoenix Transmission in Weatherford Texas and a Moser fabricated 9 inch rear end with a Wave Trac diff. This whole package is controlled by a Holley Dominator EFI setup which runs the engine and the transmission with a single controller.

Hydroboost brakes for my 64

This has been in the works since day one.  The brakes on my Polara are wilwood discs all the way around.  But to really get it to stop, I selected a hydroboost setup.  It had to have a custom bracket made, but that was really the hardest part so far.  More to come

A week of solid progress

The engine and transmission are in for the final time.  Headers are installed.  The center section is installed.    I need fuel, fire, and accessories setup.  Very very close otherwise.
