Welcome to my blog. This blog is about my journey to put this 2 owner 64 Dodge Polara back on the road with some pro-touring flare. I bought it from the grand son of the original owner. The car was never taken apart until I tore into it.

I guess you would classify the build as a pro-touring build at this point. The drivetrain will be completely new. The car is on about its 3rd revision at this point. The final iteration of the drivetrain is an all aluminum Gen3 426 built by Modern Muscle in Martinsville Virginia. On top of that will sit a 2.9L whipple supercharger. The rest of the drivetrain is rounded out by a 4L80 trans and converter built by Phoenix Transmission in Weatherford Texas and a Moser fabricated 9 inch rear end with a Wave Trac diff. This whole package is controlled by a Holley Dominator EFI setup which runs the engine and the transmission with a single controller.

Thanks for nothing Moser!

Well it started off with the rear end not fitting.  I had them install the back brace on the custom 9 inch I had built.  It hit the shocks.  When I called them about it they said notch it for clearance.  What a pain that was.  Then I pull out the axles to put it together and even though I double checked with them, the pressed the bearings on the axles and I had to buy another set of bearings and have my backing plates pressed on first.  Then the icing on the cake, after going through all that the passengers side axle was a 1/2 inch too long.  When I challenged them on it, they blamed me.  They said I talked to them about a Detroit truetrac (which I didn't) which uses a longer axle.  I had to email them back and ask them to help me fix it.  They offered to send me out another axle.

They offered no apology for the other problems I had.  Not so much as an acknowledgement that there was a problem.  They didn't offer to replace the housing I had to notch.  They didn't offer to pay to have it re-coated.  They didn't offer to pay for the bearings they were not supposed to press on.  They offered to send me the right length axle and a return label to send the other one back.  It is probably the worst customer service I have had in a long time.  I guess I can say they were prompt in getting back to me.  First thing Monday morning I had an email back.  Even thought it was blaming me for the current problem.
