Blog_intro

Welcome to my blog. This blog is about my journey to put this 2 owner 64 Dodge Polara back on the road with some pro-touring flare. I bought it from the grand son of the original owner. The car was never taken apart until I tore into it.

I guess you would classify the build as a pro-touring build at this point. The drivetrain will be completely new. The car is on about its 3rd revision at this point. The final iteration of the drivetrain is an all aluminum Gen3 426 built by Modern Muscle in Martinsville Virginia. On top of that will sit a 2.9L whipple supercharger. The rest of the drivetrain is rounded out by a 4L80 trans and converter built by Phoenix Transmission in Weatherford Texas and a Moser fabricated 9 inch rear end with a Wave Trac diff. This whole package is controlled by a Holley Dominator EFI setup which runs the engine and the transmission with a single controller.

The Polara gets painted!

Thanks to Jason at Clouse's Paint and Body in Mead Oklahoma, the Polara got an amazing two tone clear coat paint job.  Jason and his guys put in lots of hours into making sure the car was super straight.  It had to be, it was painted black and Jazz blue.  Here are a few pics of the car in process and before the final color sand and buffing.
